Too much food.... We got up at 11am. BAD choice.
Ramiro ate so much he started talking gibberish about the little men in his stomach responsible for digestion frantically looking for the manual on broccoli (a virtually unknown substance to them).
Nathaly did NOT enjoy the act of eating for the first time since the age of 12. Kale is totally out of the question for the rest of the PCP, unless we can figure out a way to get it to soften.
Week 2, Day 1. Definitely the hardest day of the program.
Yes indeed. Welcome to your new life!

ReplyDeleteThat's funny about the little men in ramiro's stomach. That could be an animation short. Broccoli can be harsh on the stomach, I never eat it raw. I already ate a ton of veggies before and I know from experience kale is the worst without salt, the worst.
ReplyDeletethe WORST! agreed. he had the broccoli steamed, but it was the first thing in his belly straight out of bed. and such a large bowl! we pictured the little men as a movie too. it would so much fun to animate if either of us had those skills at all: they rummage through old filing cabinets and pull out an old dust booklet from the 1950's.. lol
ReplyDeleteOkay, I wrote a long comment here last night and it's not here now! I wonder how many of my other comments haven't gone through.
ReplyDeleteRamiro, Luke loooooves broccoli--claims it's vital to intestinal health. Tell your little men to chew on that!
Nathaly, I never tried it, but did you see the internet trend a few months ago for kale chips? One bakes the leaves in the oven (with salt, of course, which you'd have to skip) until they're shriveled and crispy. Perhaps that would answer your texture objections? But you'd have to eat a lot to get a reasonable number of grams out of it. Maybe sprinkled on something for crunch?
